At Barcroft Primary School we provide a broad and balanced curriculum to support children’s needs. Unfortunately, due to Coronavirus restrictions we have been unable to offer our usual collection of extra-curricular activities for children so far this year. We have therefore planned for all year groups from Reception to Year 6 to have the opportunity to take part in a club for the summer term starting Tuesday 20th April. These clubs will either run weekly or fortnightly depending on the amount of pupils requesting a place. The wellbeing of our pupils is extremely important to us, so this year we have decided to focus our clubs on fun social activities to support pupils in spending important time with their friends. The clubs will be run by our dedicated members of staff and will operate in class or year group bubbles. In order to offer a wide range of activities the clubs will not be focussed on one specific area and staff will plan activities each week ranging from arts and crafts to outdoor sports. We would like to offer all pupils the opportunity to take part in the club, but places will be limited due to health and safety and will be issued on a first come first served basis. If your child would like to take part in their year group club please contact the school office. All clubs start at 3.30pm and will finish at 4.15pm, the children must be collected from their usual exit doors. We would also stress the importance of collecting pupils promptly at the end of each session in a safe socially distanced manor. If pupils are collected late on more than one occasion they will lose their place in the club and the place will be allocated to a pupil on the waiting list.
