Unlocking hearts and minds
Barcroft is committed to promoting emotional wellbeing and positive mental health across the whole school community and we are excited to announce that we will be embarking on the Wellbeing Award for Schools, which is developed in partnership with the National Children’s Bureau (NCB).
Evidence shows us that wellbeing is of central importance to learning and attainment, with high levels of wellbeing associated with improved academic outcomes.
Here at Barcroft, we value the whole child and emotional wellbeing is at the heart of our ethos. We have some wonderful provisions already in place and we are excited about expanding and taking this provision further. The important factor is that this journey will involve everyone: the children, the teachers, the wider staff and you. Everyone! We are all important, as a whole school, working together to promote the mental health and wellbeing of each other.

School Closures Update
As you may have seen in the news, maintaining our mental health and wellbeing is also very important at this time. We understand that it may be very challenging to adjust our lifestyles and isolate away from our loved ones. There is a lot of guidance on the NHS website and we want to offer more useful places to get advice on how to stay happy and healthy.
