National Education Nature Park Grant
We have recently developed part of our playground with wonderful new planters to created a ‘green space’. We were successful in securing a grant from the National Education Nature Park - a Department for Education initiative that made available a £15 million grant to support young people in getting outdoors and learning about the natural world. At Barcroft, we used our grant to change the large concentre seating area into a lovely garden area for our children to enjoy. We have received some lovely comments about how wonderful the area now looks. A huge thank you to Mr Sandy from The Lighthouse Federation for being the driving force behind securing the funding for the project!

Graffiti Art
We commissioned a graffiti artist to create a remembrance and British- themed graffiti art in the Year 6 entrance and stairs. The artwork is amazing!

Playground Planters
Our School Council members were tasked by Mr Drew to make our playground look beautiful during the Winter months! We decided that plants would make it look much more inviting throughout the winter season and the planters would then be put to good use. They have done a wonderful job of filling the planters, preparing the plants for winter, watering them and now they just need to watch them flourish!
A big thank you to both our School Council members and Mr Sandy for ensuring our school environment is wonderful all year round!
