There are many positives to the internet and we know that online events can have a big impact on the emotional wellbeing of a child. 

 

Safeguarding and online safety is a crucial part of our comprehensive computing curriculum and to supplement this, Year 6 have had an informative and relevant session with a member of Street Teams where they discussed many different social media platforms that children may have access to including online gaming. 

 

They have looked at the positives to social media but also the negatives to enable our children to stay safe online and to be able to identify potentially harmful situations that they may see online and how to deal with them in a safe and informed manner.
