Pupil Voice
Our School Council represents the views of all our pupils. It gives children the opportunity to make their voices heard and feel part of the whole school community.
What do the School Council do?
- Listen to the views and concerns of other pupils
- Think of ideas that will help to improve aspects of the school and make decisions
- Think about how we can contribute locally and globally
- Fundraise for the school and local community
- Make sure the school is a happy and safe place
- Encourage all children to make suggestions and act upon them where appropriate

School Council Elections
The School Council representatives are voted for by their class.
Each class from Year 2 – 6 has two representatives.
A Chair person and Vice Chair will also be voted for.

What makes the School Council effective?
Attendance of all representatives at each meeting
Good communication between representatives and the class
Smaller groups within the school council working on particular projects, issues and events
Regular class meetings-children are able to voice their ideas and concerns each week to school council members
