Summer Term 1 

During Summer term 1, the children look at the following topics: 

• Knights and castles (Knights and dragons Unite!)
• Three Billy Goats (Three Billy Goats Gruff)
• Zoo animals (Dear Zoo)
• Wild animals (Rumble in the jungle)
• Wild animals (Going on a lion hunt)

During these topics, children will learn lots of new things about the world and animals around the world.

We will learn about the difference between castles and our homes. The children will also learn the difference between a zoo and safari, and a farm and where our food comes from. 

Summer Term 2  

During Summer term 2, the children look at the following topics: 

• Superheroes (Supertato)
• Transport
• Space (Whatever next – Jill Murphy)
• Under the sea (Billy’s bucket)
• Under the sea (Commotion in the ocean)
• Pirates
• All about summer/ the beach

During the lovely summer weather, children will spend time exploring outdoors and partaking fun summer crafts such as making their own sandcastles, having a summer picnic! Children will also learn about sea animals and explore on an adventure with the pirate on board Ahoy!
